On the 22nd, on a BS Fuji program, former LDP Minister of Economic Security Kobayashi Takayuki commented on the low approval ratings of the Kishida Cabinet, “Prime Minister Kishida Fumio sometimes makes (policy) decisions in a top-down manner. One factor may be that more and more people are feeling a little skeptical.” With regard to how he will handle the party presidential election expected in September, he said only, “For now, it’s all about improving my own power as a politician.” Jiji Press Political Section Published on July 22, 2024 at 11:29 p.m.
>>3 That kind of stuff doesn’t matter Defense spending is increasing to support Ukraine How much of a burden do you think the people are being burdened by these arbitrarily decided policies They’re complaining about the obligation for Tokyo residents to install solar panels, but it’s not that bad
It’s because the mass media treats everyone except the Amepoch Seiwakai as idiots and makes them laugh. The Japanese people all know about it and are bored.
It must be slush funds. Usually people get bored of it within a month and approval ratings go up again, but this time it’s the height of distrust in politics.
No matter what happens to the Kishida Cabinet, less than 10% of the public expects the Constitutional Communist Party to bring about a change of government. If we want to develop an opposition party, the only option is to have those associated with the now obsolete Constitutional Communist Party retire and create a new party with completely new members and policies.
Isn’t it the other way around? The power struggles and infighting within the LDP are at the root of it all, and the fact that there is no consensus behind closed doors within the party as before makes it look like Kishida’s top-down approach?
Since Kishida took over, the LDP has been losing everywhere. Even though they cheated and used illegal funds, only the weakest members are arrested. The middle class and below are becoming poorer and more dissatisfied.
“Prime Minister Fumio Kishida occasionally makes top-down decisions (on tax increases). One factor may be that more and more people are feeling a little skeptical.”
He was just a pot uncle. Minister of Economic and Security Kobayashi sends greetings and congratulatory telegrams at a meeting of the former Unification Church.
