Governor Saito: “I received a letter from a high school student saying ’Please don’t quit,’” “I’ll try my best in the election,” says decision to no-confidence: “Did I really have to go that far?” Will lose his job on the 30th and run for governor again September 26, 2024 Thursday 7:22 PM Hyogo Prefecture Governor Saito held a press conference at 3 PM on the 26th. At the beginning of his speech, the governor stated the following regarding his response to the motion of no confidence: Governor Saito: “I myself have been troubled during this time. This is a big decision for the prefectural government. The parliament will not be dissolved, but he will lose his position on the 30th. I have decided to run again in the next gubernatorial election.” He officially announced that he would “resign from his position and run again in the election.” When asked when the governor made the decision, Governor Saito said, “It was yesterday morning (the 25th). After I did the interview, a high school student came up to me and gave me a letter. I thought it was a letter of scolding…I still get emotional when I see it…but it said, ’Please don’t stop.’ I received a letter saying, “I hope you do your best for the future.” High school students took the time to send me their encouragement, so I guess that… (a little at a loss for words) I guess it really touched me. What I took from that was, “There are people who have high expectations of me, even though I’m like this.” “I think elections are tough, but I thought I’d give it my best,” he said, explaining that what prompted him to run was a letter he received on the morning of the 25th from a high school student asking him to continue in his position. ■ No-confidence motion passed: “Did we really have to go that far?” Regarding the no-confidence motion passed by parliament, he said the following: Governor Saito: “I was appointed governor three years ago and was entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, so resigning from my position is a very serious matter. I understand that it is the assembly’s decision to issue and pass a motion of no confidence, but I honestly wonder if we really had to go that far.” ■”I was arrogant and conceited” [Governor Saito] “In light of this issue, I think I myself have been arrogant and conceited during my three years in prefectural government. I believe that this has led to my words and actions, so through this experience I have a renewed resolve to never do anything like that again. If I were to become governor again, I would need to think about how I interact with my staff and listen more to the thoughts of each member of the assembly. I intend to start changing things in those ways.” For more, please see the source. A high school student skipped school, looked up the time of the press conference, waited until it was over, slipped through the guards, and sent a letter to express his feelings lol. I can’t imagine this being anything other than a setup lol.
Just like the “good luck lady” from the other day, why are ordinary high school students allowed to get close to the governor who is being photographed on camera? Is security really that lax? lol
>>25 Is he from a Korean school? Hyogo Prefecture provides an unusually large amount of subsidies, so if Saito is no longer with us, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were cut off at any time.
This is it! The high school students are Koreans lol Hyogo Prefecture Governor Saito, who continues to provide the largest subsidy to Korean schools in the country, says, “The children are not to blame.”
