On December 4th, former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (130,000 subscribers) posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he cheerfully recounted the incident in which he was attacked, causing a stir. On the day of the assassination attempt, former Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, who was on his way home from work, released a video titled “Speaking about the Bombing Incident” on the 3rd of this month. Since stepping down as prime minister in October, former Prime Minister Kishida has been actively engaged in YouTube and social media activities, becoming a hot topic online recently. The video this time is an excerpt from a live broadcast by the “Uomono no O Channel” (90,000 viewers) of “Ikuta Yoshikatsu,” a tuna wholesaler who also works as a commentator, in which he looks back on three years of the Kishida administration with LDP lawmakers Kihara Seiji and Mukaiyama Jun. On April 15, 2023, then Prime Minister Kishida was at a campaign speech venue in Wakayama Prefecture when an iron pipe bomb was thrown at him. Police officers and civilians suffered minor injuries, but fortunately Prime Minister Kishida was unharmed. During this broadcast, Ikuta began by saying, “There was a rather dangerous incident in Wakayama, wasn’t there?” and then turned to former Prime Minister Kishida, saying, “You didn’t change your plans after that at all, and ended up going to the barber.” Former Prime Minister Kishida nodded with a smile and said, “That’s right,” and “I went back to Tokyo and got a haircut.” Ikuta was astonished, saying, “I thought that was really courageous!” He claims that “normally, it would not be surprising if all of the schedules were canceled,” but former Prime Minister Kishida says, “Strangely, I did not feel any sense of urgency or seriousness that I was targeted.” It was less than 1.5m or 2m. Then (the iron pipe bomb) rolled down and I thought, “Ah!” and just watched. Then everyone shouted, “The police are coming!”, (the policeman) kicked the iron pipe bomb away, and (the SP) picked him up and shoved him into a car,” former Prime Minister Kishida said with a smile as he explained the situation at the time. “I didn’t have any sense of urgency, like I was being targeted or my life was in danger,” he said. He revealed, “I was surprisingly objective in thinking, ‘This is what the Prime Minister is going through!'”
>>3 The current Prime Minister is someone worse than this guy How many more years will Japan last? Even if we keep quiet, we’ll be swallowed up by the continent in 30 years Don’t worry, you’ll be sent to a labor reform camp (forced labor camp).
I don’t mind if someone makes fun of it personally or among themselves, but I’m shocked that someone with such a twisted sensibility who broadcasts it to the entire nation in a video is at the top.
This guy has suddenly become lively since stepping down as Prime Minister. Like Suga, he is not the type of person who would rise to the top by working behind the scenes.
The SP dropped the bomb, saying it was fine if they could keep the general public away even though there was a possibility that they were there, and it gave us a glimpse of the LDP’s mindset that it doesn’t matter what happens to the people as long as the higher-ups are protected.
He’s not “courageous” but just stupid. If the perpetrator was not acting alone but as a group, and had decided on this date to carry out the crime, there would have been second and third arrows waiting to come, but he didn’t change his plans…
>>55 Isn’t that the case with all the previous prime ministers? The only one who was scary because he had no weaknesses was Suga. Obuchi and Mori were prime ministers who were particularly full of weaknesses.
